Solar Power Systems

Endless Solar, in collaboration with our partners, provide high quality, solar power (PV) systems for both residential and commercial applications. Solar power is a viable, sustainable energy source that lends itself to the high levels of solar energy available in Australia. It can help power your home and reduce your energy costs. It's clean, green and versatile. Solar Power (PV) Electricity

Why choose solar power?

Photovoltaic solar power systems convert the sun's energy into electricity. The abundance of sunshine in Australia makes solar power a great way to generate free and non-polluting energy for your home or business. Almost every Australian roof is ideal for harnessing the sun's energy to produce electricity.

There are some great rebates and incentives for intalling solar power, allowing them to be an affordable investment.

Installing Solar Power

Endless Solar provides a complete supply/installation package. Our installers are fully BCSE qualified and have great experience in design and installation of solar power systems.

Our solar panels are fully certified, featuring high quality Polycrystalline or Mono-crystalline cells with a 20 year performance warranty and a grid connect inverter (to suit the size of the system), with a 3 year product warranty.

(#) The nominal system size is defined in Kilowatts (kW). The size is the sum of the rated output of the individual panels. Hence for eg.1 kW = 6 x 170W panels listed as nominal 1kW.
(*) The Power Output per annum is an estimate based on typical insulation figures for Sydney (assumed 30° pitch and facing true north with no shading with an average inverter efficiency of 92% and system losses approx. 2%).

Common Questions

What are the different types of solar power systems?

Solar power systems systems can be grouped into two main categories:

Grid connect systems

The most popular option in Australia. Grid connect systems provides power to your house when the sun is shining - any excess energy is fed into the public electricity grid. This method means that you have power 24/7.

Stand-alone systems

In a stand-alone system, the energy yield from the solar power system is matched to the household energy use. Many stand-alone systems are designed to collect and store the energy in a battery until it is needed. These are most suited to households that need electricity but are lcoated in a remote location, or off the grid.

If you have any questions about solar power, don't hesitate to contact our friendly team.

How much energy will I save?

A 1kW system will provide approximately 1495kWh in Sydney per year (assumed 30° pitch and facing true north with no shading with an average inverter efficiency of 92% and system losses approx. 2%).

Check your energy bill to see how much energy you are currently using, how much you're paying per kWh.

What direction should the panels face?

The panels should face north, however, they will still get reasonable results at 45° either side of north (ie.NE and NW)

What about Shading?

The panels should be positioned in an unshaded location.Shading can reduce output and in some cases cause damage to the system.

How much space will it take up on my roof?

A 1kW solar power system will require about 8m2. It would be comprised of 6 panels of dimesion1600mm x 900mm.

How do I know if getting solar power is a good decision?

Probably the best question to ask before making a purchase. The answer is simply about making a sensible, informed choice. Consider the following:

  • Is my geographic location suitable for solar?
  • Is my roof suitable to put solar on, and will it perform optimally in this location.
  • Am I eligible for Rebates or RECs? These incentives make solar financially viable.
  • Will it help me to achieve my goals? Common goals are: saving money, helping the environment, being independant and protecting yourself against rising energy costs.
  • Will installing solar power pay for itself? How long will it take? (This will largely depend on the financial incentives available, such as Rebates, RECS and Feed-in Tariffs.
